Introduce the team with editable people cards

Show who is involved, what each person owns and whom someone should ask for help. Team Introduction provides a small reporting hierarchy built from native Org Chart cards and connections. Replace the example people, expand the relevant branch and keep responsibilities beside the visual structure. The result is a practical team introduction that can sit next to a project plan or workshop on the same canvas.

In this guide
  1. Start with the editable team structure
  2. Make each card useful
  3. Extend the right reporting branch
  4. Make the connections readable
  5. Check responsibilities and save

01

Start with the editable team structure

Open Templates, search for Team Introduction and choose Use template. The example contains a team lead and four connected people, with a heading and an explanatory line. Use Fit view to inspect the structure before editing. Decide which reporting relationships you need to explain and rewrite the heading so readers understand which team or project this view describes.

02

Make each card useful

Select just one person card and click its top-right pencil, labelled Edit organization card followed by the person’s name. In Person details, enter Name, Role and Team; use Description for responsibilities or an “ask me about” statement. Choose Save changes and check the card. Name is required; Cancel discards the form draft. Repeat for the remaining example people.

03

Extend the right reporting branch

Hover over the card of the person who will have another direct report, or focus its Add direct report control. Click the plus button to create a connected child card. Select the new card and fill its Person details. Check the parent connection before adding more people, so the chart explains the reporting structure you intended rather than a convenient visual arrangement.

04

Make the connections readable

Select a card and open Organization connection style in its toolbar. Choose Straight organization connections, Curved organization connections or Elbow organization connections. The choice updates the selected card’s descendant reporting edges, so review that branch after switching styles. Move a card slightly if needed and confirm that its native connection remains attached before settling the final layout.

05

Check responsibilities and save

Read the chart as someone joining the project: can they identify the lead, understand each role and find the right contact? Clarify overlapping responsibilities in Description and check that long names remain readable. Manage resource access separately through workspace and project settings. Save the canvas, then add a frame if the introduction should appear in a presentation or exported onboarding recap.

What you will have

Your team introduction has real names, clear responsibilities and connected reporting lines. The editable cards can support onboarding, workshop introductions and conversations about ownership alongside the project’s work.
